UI/UX DESIGN
As a Visual Designer at Product Madness, I developed Liveops Events and new features on mobile games: Big Fish Casino, Jackpot Magic Slots, and Paradise Fortune Casino. Worked with UX, Illustration, and Product to develop wireframes, event flow, final mockups, and UI assets.

BIG FISH CASINO: BATTLE PASS + DAILY TASKS
This feature encompasses 3 separate pieces that all feed into each other. Big Fish Casino’s take on the battle pass, called Prize Pass, progresses through the completion of daily tasks and challenges. Players earn heart and spade tokens by completing tasks and fill the Prize Pass and Lucky List meters to earn even bigger rewards. I worked with UX to brainstorm ideas for a final layout that would incorporate these 3 sections into one composition, I was responsible for creating the logo, layout, UI design, and marketing materials. Overall branding was casino and glamour inspired, the textures and UI styles remained consistent throughout the feature along with the mascot to unite the sections, the use of color and heading serving to clearly separate them as different pieces within the feature.

PARADISE FORTUNE CASINO: WELCOME WEEK BONUS
Welcome Week was a feature added to improve initial retention amongst new players, encouraging them to log in multiple days in a row to collect increasing prizes. I wanted the visual direction to match the both the theme and narrative of the tropical island game and I explored multiple theme directions: the idea of packing a suitcase over the week, different sea animals, and sending a postcard. Layout direction came from UX designer wireframes, I worked directly with the art director and illustration to develop a final design that belonged in the same world as the game, maintained consistent UI, and was an approachable and engaging experience for players.

BIG FISH CASINO: LEADERBOARD
Leaderboard was a liveops event created to encourage chip sink by encouraging players to spin more, at higher bets in order to collect the most tokens and climb the board before time runs out. To participate in the event, players spin in any slot, collect randomly dropped tokens, and compete against a group of other players for first place. When brainstorming brand directions, I wanted the visuals to match the idea of being the best or the winner. I explored multiple theme directions: the standard glossy, high end casino experience, opulent royalty, and the more playful stars. Layout and event flow was created by UX, I was responsible for art direction, logo design, layout, UI elements, and marketing materials. Design was created in Adobe Photoshop, tokens, rewards, cloud and star elements were completed by illustration.

PARADISE FORTUNE CASINO: LIVEOPS EVENT RE-DESIGN
Liveops Events on Paradise Fortune Casino were originally taken on by outsourcers. One of my main focuses upon joining this pod, was to go over their events and make UI, UX, and branding recommendations to improve the consistency across events, legibility, and approachability. Beach Bingo is an event I did a complete re-design for to make the event more inline with the game’s UI and art style, and to improve overall hierarchy and layout. I worked with illustration to create the new bingo balls, daubs, and bg assets. I was responsible for creating the logo, UI, info and new card popups, style guide, and art guide to lay out all assets to improve the pipeline for future reskins.

BIG FISH CASINO: PIGGY BANK
Piggy Bank was a feature added to increase player spend, encouraging them to bet higher on spins and spend to open their piggy bank to earn additional coins and VIP points. We went with an alternative direction to the traditional pig, choosing instead, a growing fish to match Big Fish Casino’s mascot. This direction inspired an underwater theme and palette. I created bubble illustrations, holding coins to bring more of the gold from the rest of the game into the monochrome palette. The feature flow, rough layout, and required screens came from UX. I was responsible for creating the final layout, typography, and UI elements. I worked directly with the art manager, engineering, and animation to develop a final design that matched the tone of the rest of the game and was an engaging experience for players.

BIG FISH CASINO: LIVEOPS EVENT UI UPDATE
Champion Circuit is a liveops event I created and then revisited, to make UI improvements based on feedback following its release to players. The first run of this event had lower participation compared to previous event types. This resulted from confusion from players due to choices that were made in the layout of the event. I took feedback collected by product from our players and made adjustments to the UI (with feedback on different iterations from UX) for the next re-skin of this event to improve retention and player experience. Following these updates, it became one of our go-to seasonal events, that was regularly reskinned.
